En entrevista con The Telegraph, la estrella más grande de Broadway, Idina Menzel (ganadora de Tonys e interprete de la ganadora del Oscar "Let it Go" ) respondió que tanto el musical (su nicho) como la secuela están en camino.
¿De qué podría tratar Frozen 2 ?
Acaban de re-estrenar Frozen en algunos cine, y el estudio está preparando un nuevo corto que veremos en Verano. También se ha hablado de un musical y una secuela pra Frozen ¿Qué puedes decirno Idina Menzel al respecto?
Que todos están en etapas de producción. Ja, ja.
¿Estás involucrada en ellos?
Seguro, bueno, no en el musical, no sé que harán con ese tema, pero ojalá si para la película, ya veremos, sólo quiero dejarme llevar.
Frozen has just been rereleased theatrically, and the filmmakers have made a new six-minute short that will play in cinemas in the coming festive season. There are also rumours of a sequel and a stage musical. What can Menzel tell us of those plans?
“That they’re all in the works, ha ha!”
Is she signed up for them all?
“Ah, yeah sure… Not the stage show – I don’t know what will happen with that – but the movie hopefully. We’ll see. I’m just going along for the ride.”
Aunque hay que admitir que eso no es una confirmación rotunda con fecha de estreno y campaña publicitaria en camino (aunque Frozen no tuvo la segunda, se hizo grande con los medios y después con el boca a boca)
Sabemos que Frozen Fever no tarda en llegar a nuestras pantallas en el verano del año entrante.
Nunca tendremos suficiente de Idina, a quien el reconocimiento de verdad tardó en llegarle, Rent fue un trancazo, después el fenómeno Wicked (donde lamentablemente no podría protagonizar la película, pero ojala a las voces originales les den un cameo) y ahora if/then, que vale la pena el viaje al teatro Richard Rodgers

“I can’t give any tips on how to sing Let It Go because I barely can sing it sometimes. It’s really hard. I can’t wake up in the morning and just sing it.
“I guess my advice is that everyone who likes to sing it should sing it loud and proud and karaoke it out, sing it in the shower, sing it in the car and don’t worry about hitting the high notes.”
