Ya conocemos a los nominados a la entrega número 26 de los Critics Choice Awards, también conocidos como Premios de la Crítica (vía sitio oficial).
La Asociación de Críticos de Cine (Broadcast Film Critics Association, BFCA; por sus siglas en inglés) y la Asociación de Periodistas Críticos de Televisión (Broadcast Television Journalists Association, BTJA; por sus siglas en inglés), está conformada por más de 300 periodistas especializados en televisión, radio y medios online, quienes desde hace 26 años votan para elegir lo más destacado del año.
Tradicionalmente, se considera a los Critics Choice como la predicción más certera de las nominaciones del Premio Óscar, aunque esta vez, venimos a hablar de las nominaciones para el rubro televisivo de los Critics Choice.
Las nominaciones a lo más destacado de la industria televisiva, en su edición 26, está liderada por las aclamadas The Crown y Ozark, que se llevaron 6 nominaciones (cada una). Ambas series obtuvieron nominaciones en la categoría grande a Mejor Drama, así como en las categorías actorales.
En cuanto a cadena o servicio de streaming:
- Netflix lidera las nominaciones con 26 menciones, seguida muy de cerca por HBO y HBO Max con 22, HBO aporta 20, mientras que la nueva plataforma propiedad de WarnerMedia aporta 2, gracias a The Flight Attendant, la serie nueva de comedia protagonizada por Kaley Cuoco.
En cuanto a otras series nuevas, The Queen’s Gambit y Unorthodox también aterrizaron nominaciones; la primera como Mejor Serie Limitada, Mejor Actriz y Mejor Actriz de Reparto, y la segunda Mejor Serie Limitada y Mejor Actriz. Las primeras temporadas de Lovecraft Country y Perry Mason de HBO, fueron reconocidas en la categoría a Mejor Serie de Drama. Y sus respectivos protagonistas lograron ser nominados de igual manera a Mejor Actor en Serie de Drama.
La favorita de los Emmys 2020, Schitt’s Creek, aseguró 5 nominaciones: Mejor Serie de Comedia y las categorías actorales para sus miembros principales.
Los Critics’ Choice Television Awards serán emitidos en vivo el domingo 7 de marzo de 2021 a través de la señal de The CW.
