La tarde de este domingo 19 de septiembre, se llevarán a cabo los Premios Emmy, cuya edición 73, a la que también nos referiremos como Emmys 2021, se celebrará de forma presencial al aire libre en el centro de Los Ángeles, luego de haber llevado a cabo los Emmys 2020 de manera virtual.
- Habrá número limitado de asistentes (nominados) y llegadas a la alfombra roja limitadas.
- Es requisito que los asistentes tengan el esquema de vacunación completa, y presenten una prueba PCR negativa de COVID.
Para esta ocasión, se contará con Cedric the Entertainer haciendo labores como host de la gala que se emitirá en vivo a través de la señal de CBS en Estados Unidos, y TNTLA para México y el resto de Latinoamérica. La premiación dará inició en punto de las 7PM (MEX). La alfombra roja está en curso ahora mismo.
Las series The Mandalorian y The Crown, llegan como las más nominadas, con 24 candidaturas para cada una de ellas, seguidas por WandaVision (21) y The Handmaid’s Tale (21), Ted Lasso (20) y The Queen’s Gambit (20), Lovecraft Country (18), Mare of Easttown (16) y Hacks (15).
- Series aclamadas como The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Successiony Ozark, no fueron elegibles para la edición 73, y lo serán hasta la edición de 2022.
- Las cadenas/streamers con más nominaciones son HBO (130) y Netflix (129).
