El día de ayer, una noche antes de los Oscars, se celebró la entrega de los Independient Spirit Awards, que otorgaron el premio a mejor película a The Wrestler (LUCHADOR), pero además, en la categoría "Mejor actor", se encontraban los dos favoritos para los Oscar; Mickey Rourke y Sean Pean, siendo Rourke quién terminara llevándose el premio, lo cuál puede ser un indicio de lo que esta noche ocurrirá en los Premios de la Academia
Por otro lado, Vicky Cristina Barcelona obtuvo dos premios, actríz de reparto para Penelope Cruz y Guión para Woody Allen
