La Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera de Hollywood (HFPA, Hollywood Foreign Press Association), se ha reunido muy temprano la mañana de este 12 de diciembre para anunciar a través de los actores Don Cheadle, Laura Dern y Anna Kendrick, los nominados que comprenden la edición número 74 de los Globos de Oro (Golden Globe Awards).
Los premios que anualmente reconocen la excelencia de los rubros tanto de cine como de televisión, forman parte esencial de la llamada temporada de premios, que culminará a finales del mes de febrero con la entrega del Óscar.
Meryl Streep será honrada con el Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. La actriz posee el record de Globos de Oro más obtenidos, con un total de ocho.
Los Golden Globe Awards se entregarán el domingo 8 de enero de 2017 desde el Beverly Hilton Hotel en Beverly Hills, California, en la ceremonia que contará con el actor y comediante Jimmy Fallon como anfitrión. La emisión en vivo ocurrirá en las pantallas de NBC en Estados Unidos y Canal TNT en Latinoamérica.
