Golden Globes 2020: Marriage Story lidera nominaciones
Los Golden Globes 2020 anunciaron esta mañana a los nominados de la edición 77, del premio que anualmente reconoce lo mejor de la industria cinematográfica y la televisiva con las categorías divididas en Drama, y Musical o Comedia. El anuncio fue hecho por Tim Allen, Dakota Fanning y Susan Kelechi (via sitio oficial).
Fue una muy buena mañana para Netflix, que finalmente parece estar estableciéndose en el gusto de la industria (y audiencia) con largometrajes de calidad, pues su producción original Marriage Story de Noah Baumbach lideró las nominaciones con seis menciones: Mejor Película (Drama), Mejor Guion, Mejor Actor, Actriz y Actriz de Reparto (Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson y Laura Dern) y Mejor Banda Sonora Original. Para sorpresa de todos quienes ya hemos visto el film, Baumbach no fue nominado como director.
A Marriage Story (6), le siguen The Irishman y Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, con 5 nominaciones para cada una; The Two Popes logró 4, la misma cantidad que Joker.
Tanto The Two Popes y The Irishman (ambas originales de Netflix) aterrizaron nominaciones a Mejor Película, Guion y categorías actorales. Mientras que la biopic Dolemite Is My Name, también del streaming, fue nominada como Mejor Película Musical o Comedia y Mejor Actor (Eddie Murphy). En la misma categoría, Knives Out lidera con 3 nominaciones, mientras que Jojo Rabbit le sigue con 2.
En el rubro televisivo, Chernobyl (HBO), The Crown (Netflix) y Unbelievable (Netflix) lideran con 4 nominaciones para cada una. Le siguen de cerca, Barry (HBO), Big Little Lies (HBO), Fleabag (Amazon Prime Video), Fosse/Verdon (FX), The Kominsky Method (Netflix), The Morning Show (Apple), y Succession (HBO) con 3 para cada una.
Dato curioso: la serie de drama, The Morning Show, le valió a Apple su primera nominación al Golden Globe.
La Asociación de la Prensa Extranjera en Hollywood (HFPA) se conforma de 90 periodistas de todo el mundo radicados en EUA. Como se dio a conocer anteriormente, el comediante británico Ricky Gervais, será el maestro de ceremonias de la gala que se celebrará el 5 de enero de 2020 desde el Beverly Hilton, en Beverly Hills, CA.
