Ya hemos hablado por aquí de como dolió que Guillermo del Toro no realizará su adaptación de la obra de Howard Phillips "H. P." Lovecraft 

Y es que somos fans

No hemos perdido la fe, Universal todavía podría darnos la sorpresa.

Justo la semana pasada cuando veíamos a Tom Cruise en su adaptación de "All you need is kill" (hay quienes dicen que el cambio al más seguro, pero genérico "Al filo del mañana" es una de las razones por las que está siendo injustamente ignorado en cartelera) nos vinieron a la mente los Shoggoths (si el marco de referencia es sólo los "squids" de matrix y Source code, o es gente muy joven, o muy miope) y la herida dolió otra vez, digo, si Prometheus no fuera tan mala (desperdiciando tanto potencial) dolería menos que haya descarrilado otro (uno más) de los proyectos de Del Toro.

Ahora llega la oportunidad de decidir que es lo que queremos ver, de nueva cuenta, mediante crowd funding los espectadores podemos votar y rechazar un reboot de twilight, que ese dinero se lo digan dando las pubertas, los demás queremos ver el fabuloso libro de la expedición de la Universidad Miskatonic y sus descubrimientos, llevado la pantalla..chica, mediana o grande, y no importa si primero nos llega la animada, y Del toro tiene 90 cuando por fin le haga justicia a la obra de Lovecraft.

Es el momento de votar con nuestras carteras para que este proyecto de Kickstarter se haga realidad, y si no, al menos ayudarles a difundir la palabra (¿de Azathoth?) para que más gente se entere y coopere.

Yo ya soy backer, amaré tener la oportunidad de contarles como les quedo, y no, no son fans, o no son solo fans, también son profesionales, por lo que el producto promete.

Plot Outline

In 1930 a team of researchers traveled to the bottom of the world in an attempt to discover the unknown history of our planet. They found much more than they bargained for, a series of gigantic and alien looking fossils resting in an ancient cavern. The scientists believed they'd discovered a previously unknown species of prehistoric animal. Soon however they realized that those creatures were far from extinct and more dangerous than any predator encountered before.

When the scientists failed to return a search party was dispatched to find them. The rescuers pursued a trail deep into the Antarctic tundra where they discovered a titanic mountain range that hid an ancient pre-human civilization, the shocking fate of their friends and a horrifying truth about the origins of mankind.

Hunted by supernatural creatures of infinite evil and sinister intelligence the men struggled to escape the bounds of “The Mountains of Madness”.
