HBO y Netflix continúan dominando como las cadenas o streamers con más nominaciones a los Premios Emmy, cuya edición 73, a la que también nos referiremos como Emmys 2021, anunció a todos sus nominados durante la mañana de este martes 13 de julio.
- HBO tiene 130 nominaciones; Netflix se queda con 129 nominaciones.
Las nominaciones se dieron a conocer por Ron Cephas y Jasmine Cephas Jones a través del sitio oficial, donde puedes reproducir el anuncio las veces que desees.
Destacamos que, series aclamadas como The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Succession y Ozark, no fueron elegibles para la edición 73, y lo serán hasta la edición de 2022.
Fueron The Mandalorian y The Crown, las series que consiguieron más nominaciones, aterrizando 24 candidaturas, seguidas por WandaVision (21) y The Handmaid’s Tale (21), Ted Lasso (20) y The Queen’s Gambit (20), Lovecraft Country (18), Mare of Easttown (16) y Hacks (15).
La ronda final de votaciones inicia el 19 de agosto de 2021, y concluye el 30 de agosto por la noche. Los Emmys 2021 se emitirán en vivo el domingo 19 de septiembre, con Cedric the Entertainer como anfitrión. La transmisión correrá a cargo de CBS en los Estados Unidos, pero además, estará disponible a todos los suscriptores del streamer Paramount+.
