Hace unos momentos se realizó el anuncio en vivo de las nominaciones al Emmy 2020, a través de un vídeo streaming desde el sitio oficial de la Academia de la Televisión (si se lo perdieron, lo pueden reproducir aquí).
Si bien estos son tiempos complicados para todas las industrias alrededor del mundo, debido a la pandemia por el coronavirus, vale la pena destacar que todas y cada una de las series elegibles para la ceremonia de este año, fueron emitidas previo a los problemas de producción que se viven ahora mismo.
Las nominaciones correspondientes a la edición 72 de los Premios Emmy, contó con Leslie Jones (Supermarket Sweep, SNL) como anfitriona, mientras que Laverne Cox (Inventing Anna, Orange is the New Black), Josh Gad (Central Park) y Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black, Perry Mason) ayudaron como presentadores de las distintas categorías.
Watchmen lidera el grupo de nominaciones con 26 (incluyendo los Creative Emmy); The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel le sigue con 20; Ozark y Succession siguen de cerca con 15.
La ronda final de votación inicia el 21 de agosto y concluye el 31 del mismo mes. Los Emmys se realizarán el 20 de septiembre de 2020 a las 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. a través de ABC en Estados Unidos y Canal TNT en Latinoamérica. Jimmy Kimmel será el anfitrión.
