La mañana más importante de la televisión ocurrió hoy. La Academia de Artes y Ciencias de la Televisión (ATAS, por sus siglas en inglés), anunció las nominaciones correspondientes a la edición 78 de los Premios Emmy.
El drama médico The Pitt lidera con 25 nominaciones (122 si incluimos las nominaciones en los Creative Arts), seguido de la temporada final de la serie de comedia Hacks con 24 nominaciones, una cantidad récord de nominaciones para una sola temporada de una serie de comedia. Ambas son producciones originales de HBO Max.
Dato curioso: The Pitt y Hacks, en conjunto, aportaron cerca del 40% de las nominaciones a los premios Emmy que HBO y su plataforma de streaming, HBO Max, consiguieron.
Widow's Bay de Apple TV quedó en tercer lugar con 19 nominaciones, seguida por Pluribus, también de Apple TV, con 18 nominacioens, y Beef de Netflix con 16.
Los ganadores de los Premios Emmy 2026 serán revelados en la gala en vivo del lunes 14 de septiembre. Este año los premios cambian su fecha habitual del domingo debido a un partido de la NFL que se transmitirá por NBC. En Latinoamérica serán transmitidos en vivo a través de la señal de TNT y HBO Max.
La ceremonia, que tendrá lugar en el Teatro Peacock de Los Ángeles, será presentada por la icónica actriz Mariska Hargitay, quien comienza su temporada número 28 como protagonista de Law & Order: SVU este otoño.
