La temporada de premios 2021-22 está entrando a la recta final este fin de semana, con la entrega del PGA Award del Sindicato de Productores de Estados Unidos (Producers Guild of America; PGA), y la entrega del DGA Award del Sindicato de Guionistas, este último a llevarse a cabo este domingo 20 de marzo.
Mientras tanto, te contamos todo lo sucedido en el Premio PGA 2022 celebrado el sábado 19 desde el Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel en Los Ángeles, donde CODA, Succession, y Ted Lasso emergieron como las ganadoras de los Productores.
CODA se llevó el premio grande de la noche, el Premio Darryl F. Zanuck al productor destacado del año en categoría de cine, imponiéndose a Being the Ricardos, Belfast, Don’t Look Up, Dune, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, The Power of the Dog, Tick, Tick… Boom!, y West Side Story.
- OJO AL DATO: Desde que el Sindicato de los Productores fue fundado, los PGA han predicho 22 de las últimas 32 ganadoras del Óscar a Mejor Película.
En cuanto al rubro televisivo, las series Succession de HBO, y Ted Lasso de Apple TV+ se llevaron el Normal Felt Award al mejor productor de episodios de tv en las categorías drama y comedia, respectivamente; Mare of Easttown triunfó en la categoría de serie limitada; Summer of Soul, Encanto, y The Beatles: Get Back, se impusieron en las categorías de documental, largometraje animado y tv de no ficción, respectivamente.
El triunfo de CODA la impulsa a la pelea por el Óscar a Mejor Película, que tiene a The Power of the Dog como la gran favorita, después de haber ganado el BAFTA, Critics Choice, y el DGA Award. CODA por su parte, adquirió además del PGA, el SAG Award a mejor elenco.
