La Academia Británica de las Artes Cinematográficas y la Televisión (BAFTA; por sus siglas en inglés) dio a conocer esta mañana (vía sitio oficial) los nominados a los Premios BAFTA 2019, correspondientes a la edición 72.
La comedia oscura The Favourite de Yorgos Lanthimos, lidera la carrera con 12 nominaciones, incluyendo Mejor Filme. Le siguen de cerca Bohemian Rhapsody, First Man, Roma y A Star is Born, las cuales recibieron 7 nominaciones cada una.
Roma de Alfonso Cuarón, competirá en categorías principales como Mejor Película, y Mejor Película Extranjera. El cineasta mexicano además, recibió una nominación a Mejor Director.
Otros títulos fuertes para la temporada de premios como Vice, BlackKklansman y Green Book, recibieron 6, 5 y 4 nominaciones, respectivamente. Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Mary Poppins Returns, Mary Queen of Scots y Stan & Ollie, recibieron tres cada una.
Los ganadores serán revelados el próximo 10 de febrero en el Royal Albert Hall de Londres, con Joanna Lumley como anfitriona de la ceremonia, por segundo año consecutivo.
