La mañana de este jueves 14 de julio desde el Wolf Theatre del Saban Center en Hollywood, California, los actores Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) y Anthony Anderson (black-ish), dieron a conocer los ansiados nombres de los nominados al Premio Emmy, en la que comprende su edición número 68.
Conocidos entre los críticos como el Óscar de la TV, los Emmy se especializan en reconocer anualmente lo mejor de la industria televisiva. Para la edición de este año, la ceremonia de premiaciones, que contará con el comediante Jimmy Kimmel como su anfitrión, se llevará a cabo el próximo 18 de septiembre en el Microsoft Theather de Los Ángeles, CA, transmitiéndose en vivo a través de la cadena de televisión ABC en Estados Unidos y en Latinoamérica por Warner Channel. Por otro lado, la entrega de los Premios a las Artes Creativas (Creative Arts Emmy Awards), o los premios técnicos, tendrá lugar por primera vez en el curso de dos días, el 10 y 11 del mismo mes.
En esta ocasión, la serie de televisión de HBO, Game of Thrones (ganadora en 2015 como Mejor Drama), lidera las nominaciones con un total de 23, incluyendo Mejor Drama y tres contendientes a Mejor Actriz de Reparto, mientras que The People v OJ Simpson: American Crime Story de FX le sigue con 22, y Fargo, también de FX, con 18. Finalmente y después de cuatro sólidas temporadas al aire, el drama de espías The Americans, logra ser merecidamente reconocida por parte de la Academia de la Televisión.
