La mañana de este jueves 13 de julio, la Television Academy, anunció las nominaciones que comprenden la edición 69 de los Premios Emmy, galardón que es entregado anualmente en reconocimiento a lo mejor de la industria televisiva en Estados Unidos.
En esta ocasión, el drama de HBO, Westworld, y Saturday Night Live de NBC, lideran los números con 22 nominaciones para cada uno, le siguen Stranger Things de Netflix con 19 y Feud: Bette and Joan de FX con 18.
La ausencia de Game of Thrones como contendiente, deja el espacio para que el próximo mes de septiembre, vayamos a ver a otra serie del género dramático, coronarse como la mejor del año, y las probabilidades se inclinan hacia una recién llegada, ya que la categoría la conforman This Is Us, Stranger Things, The Handmaid’s Tale, The Crown y Westworld, junto a Better Call Saul y House of Cards, dos shows que ya han obtenido esta nominación.
La comedia por otro lado, la conforman Atlanta como la única serie nueva en lograrlo, y seis nominados anteriores: Black-ish, Master of None, Modern Family, Silicon Valley, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt y Veep.
La ceremonia de premiación será conducida por Stephen Colbert, y transmitida en vivo desde el Microsoft Theater de la ciudad de Los Ángeles por CBS en Estados Unidos, y TNT en Latinoamérica el próximo 17 de septiembre.
