La tarde de este domingo 8 de enero, desde el Beverly Hilton hotel en Beverly Hills, California, tendrá lugar la septuagésima cuarta edición de los Premios Golden Globe, especializados en reconocer anualmente lo mejor de la industria cinematográfica y televisiva.

Los Golden Globe Awards contarán con el comediante y actor Jimmy Fallon en rol de anfitrión, en una gala que será transmitida en vivo para Estados Unidos por las pantallas de NBC y en Latinoamérica por Canal TNT. La ceremonia asegura dar mucho de qué hablar, especialmente por el tiempo de transición política que se vive en E.E.U.U. actualmente, por lo que las bromas relacionadas al Presidente Electo Donald Trump, seguramente no se harán esperar.
La ocho veces ganadora al Globo de Oro, Meryl Streep, será honrada con el Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award. La actriz es quien posee el récord como la más ganadora (8) y la más nominada (33), en toda la historia del premio.
