Un nuevo día, y otro gremio se suma a la temporada de premios 2021-22. El Sindicato de Productores de Estados Unidos (Producers Guild of America; PGA) reveló este día a todos sus nominados en categorías de cine y televisión, incluyendo a los diez nominados a mejores películas de 2021, que estarán compitiendo por levantar la estatuilla del Premio PGA 2022.
Las diez películas que se “pelearán” el Premio Darryl F. Zanuck al Mejor Productor de Largometraje son, Being the Ricardos, Belfast, CODA, Don’t Look Up, Dune, King Richard, Licorice Pizza, The Power of the Dog, Tick, Tick… Boom!, y West Side Story.
Por el lado de la televisión, serán los productores de las series The Handmaid’s Tale, The Morning Show, Squid Game, Succession, y Yellowstone, quienes competirán por el Norman Felt Award al Mejor Productor de Episodios de Drama de TV. Y en la categoría de comedia serán Cobra Kai, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building y Ted Lasso. En la categoría de Serie Limitada y Series de Antología se encuentran, Dopesick, Mare of Easttown, The Underground Railroad, WandaVision, y The White Lotus.
OJO AL DATO: Algunas de las ausencias más notables incluyen a House of Gucci, Nightmare Alley, The Lost Daughter, Drive My Car, No Time to Die, y Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Los ganadores serán anunciados el sábado 19 de marzo de 2022 desde el Fairmont Century Plaza, en Century City, California.
