Después de arrasar en los Premios Emmy 2015 y no haber obtenido ningún premio en la gala de los Golden Globe 2016, la serie de HBO Game of Thrones ha obtenido el premio a Mejor Serie Dramática en los Producers Guild Awards 2016. El creador de la serie junto a David Benioff, Dan Weiss, realizó un breve discurso al recoger el galardón.
HBO nos dijo al principio que los dragones y los caballeros no eran el tipo de negocio en que ellos estaban metidos.

No cabe duda de que elegir la mejor película del año 2015 es una tarea muy complicada que el Sindicato de Productores estadounidenses ha resuelto premiando a The Big Short frente a otros títulos como (la gran favorita) The Revenant, Mad Max: Fury Road o Spotlight. Algo curioso de este dato es que en las anteriores nueve ediciones la premiada como Mejor Película en esta gala coincide con la premiada a Mejor Película en los Premios Oscar.
Mucha gente se pregunta si este año sucederá lo mismo y la nueva película de Adam McKay sobre la crisis inmobiliaria se situará por delante de las otras grandes películas del año, algo que sin duda sería una gran sorpresa. Pero no por que no tenga la calidad necesaria para superarlas, sino porque la nueva película de Alejandro González-Iñárritu está cosechando tantos éxitos que parte como favorita para los premios de la Academia.
