La tarde de este sábado 22 de febrero, se estarán entregando los Film Independent Spirit Awards, también conocidos en su forma corta como Spirit Awards.
La ceremonia, que está a punto de iniciar desde la playa en Santa Mónica, California, reconoce lo mejor del cine y tv independientes. Esta es su edición número 40. La actriz y comediante estadounidense, Aidy Bryant, será la anfitriona.
La transmisión en vivo podrá ser vista a través de su canal oficial en YouTube o por el canal oficial en YouTube de IMDb en punto de las 4pm (hora del centro de México).
Las películas que llegan como líderes de nominaciones en los Spirit Awards 2025 son Anora y I Saw the TV Glow, con seis nominaciones para cada una. En el rubro televisivo, Shōgun lidera con cinco nominaciones, seguida de Baby Reindeer y English Teacher con cuatro nominaciones para cada una.
Entregas del cine independiente como Dìdi, Janet Planet, Sing Sing, Ghostlight, The People’s Joker, In the Summers, The Substance y Nickel Boys también se hicieron acreedoras a múltiples nominaciones.
