Las nominaciones de los SAG Awards 2026 acaban de ser reveladas por SAG-AFTRA.
Importante recordar que, en noviembre pasado, los Premios del Sindicato de Actores, mejor conocidos como los SAG, cambiaron de nombre a The Actor Awards o Premios del Actor.
El cambio se produce tras 30 años, desde la presentación de los premios en 1995, con el objetivo de ayudar a la audiencia global identificar rápidamente la naturaleza del premio que se está entregando.
Pasando de lleno a las nominaciones de la edición 32, presentadas por Janelle James y Connor Storrie en un livestream en el canal de YouTube de Netflix, el rubro cinematográfico es liderado por One Battle After Another con 7 candidaturas, incluyendo al Mejor Elenco y Mejor Elenco de Dobles de Riesgo.
El thriller de terror Sinners le sigue con 5 nominaciones, Frankenstein, Hamnet y Marty Supreme con 3 para cada una.
Frankenstein, Hamnet, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, y Sinners conforman la categoría a Mejor Elenco, el galardón más grande de la premiación.
En el rubro televisivo, The Studio lidera con 5 nominaciones; le siguen Adolescence y The White Lotus con cuatro para cada una.
Las nominadas a Mejor Serie de Comedia son favoritas de la audiencia como Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, y The Studio.
Las nominadas a Mejor Serie de Drama son The Diplomat, Landman, The Pitt, Severance y The White Lotus.
Además de los premios competitivos, Harrison Ford recibirá el premio a la trayectoria este año.
Sobre el rebranding del nombre del premio en noviembre pasado, Jon Brockett, showunner y productor ejecutivo de The Actor Awards, explicó (vía sitio oficial): “Desde el principio, nuestra estatuilla se ha llamado ‘El Actor’ y somos un show dedicado exclusivamente a los actores, así que este nuevo nombre representa un paso adelante perfecto en su evolución. Los Premios del Actor, presentados por SAG-AFTRA, permiten a los espectadores de más de 190 países comprender de inmediato quiénes somos y qué hacemos”.
Los Actor Awards 2026 se realizarán el domingo 1 de marzo desde el Shrine Auditorium en Los Ángeles, CA., y serán transmitidos por Netflix en todo el mundo.
