El Sindicato de Guionistas (WGA; Writers Guild of America) reconoció lo mejor del cine y la televisión del año 2023, durante su gala anual realizada en el Hollywood Palladium para la Costa Oeste, y el Edison Ballroom de Nueva York para la ceremonia de la Costa Este.
Los Premios WGA o WGA Awards entregaron premios a American Fiction como el mejor guion adaptado (Cord Jefferson), a The Holdovers como el mejor guion original (David Hemingson), mientras que en el rubro televisivo Succession ganó como el mejor drama y mejor episodio de drama. En cuanto a la categoría de comedia, esta fue para The Bear, y serie limitada para Beef. Nueva serie se la llevó The Last of Us.
- HBO/Max lideró los más ganadores de la noche con 5 premios, seguido de Netflix con 3.
