Nominaciones Critics Choice Awards 2022: 'Belfast' y 'West Side Story' dominan

La temporada de premios 2021-22 arrancó sus motores dando a conocer las nominaciones a los Golden Globes 2021, y ahora, toca turno de conocer los nominados de los Premios de la Crítica o Critics Choice Awards (vía sitio oficial).

La Asociación de Críticos de Cine (Broadcast Film Critics Association, BFCA; por sus siglas en inglés) reveló a sus elegidos, correspondientes a la edición 27, a lo mejor del cine del año 2021, siendo West Side Story y Belfast las que lideran el anuncio con 11 nominaciones para cada una, y Dune y The Power of the Dog siguiéndolas de cerca con 10 nominaciones para cada una.

Belfast logró nominaciones a mejor película, mejor actor de reparto por partida doble (Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds), mejor actriz de reparto (Caitriona Balfe), mejor actor/actriz joven (Jude Hill), mejor elenco, mejor director, mejor guion original, mejor fotografía, diseño de producción y edición.

West Side Story aterrizó nominaciones a mejor película, director, actriz de reparto por partida doble (Ariana DeBose, Rita Moreno), mejor actor/actriz joven (Rachel Zegler), mejor elenco, mejor guion adaptado, mejor fotografía, mejor diseño de producción, edición y vestuario.

El resto de las nominadas a mejor película incluyen a Dune, The Power of the Dog, Licorice Pizza, Nightmare Alley, King Richard, Don’t Look Up, CODA, y Tick, Tick… Boom.

Tradicionalmente, se considera a los Critics Choice como la predicción más certera de las nominaciones del Premio Óscar

En días pasados se dio a conocer que las nominaciones a los Critics Choice TV Awards, es liderada por Succession y Mare of Easttown ambas de HBO. La ceremonia de entrega de premios se celebrará el domingo 9 de enero de 2022 en el Fairmont Century Plaza, con Taye Diggs y Nicole Byer como anfitriones de la gala, y emisión en vivo a través de TBS en los Estados Unidos.
