La tarde de este domingo 26 de febrero, desde el Dolby Theatre en Los Ángeles, California, se dará cita la edición número 89 de los muy esperados Premios Óscar, que como cada año, reconocerán lo mejor de la industria cinematográfica.

El comediante Jimmy Kimmel conducirá la octogésima novena edición del Premio de la Academia, en una gala que será transmitida en vivo para Estados Unidos por las pantallas del canal ABC, mientras que en Latinoamérica se podrá disfrutar por Canal TNT.
La máxima nominada en esta ocasión, es la increíble La La Land, que empató el récord de nominaciones (con 14), obtenido únicamente en dos ocasiones anteriores por All About Eve (1950) y Titanic (1997). Esta última sostiene el récord como la más ganadora con 11 estatuillas doradas, un número que comparte con Ben-Hur (1959) y Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (2003). Por lo que la gran incógnita en la mente de muchos cinéfilos es ¿podrá La La Land superarlo? Dentro de poco lo descubriremos.
