Hace apenas unos momentos, se llevó a cabo durante la tarde de este jueves 22 de abril de 2021, la entrega de la edición 36 de los Film Independent Spirit Awards, que año con año reconoce lo más destacado del cine y televisión independiente.
La ceremonia fue emitida en vivo a través de la señal del canal IFC (en los Estados Unidos), así como un live stream en AMC+, y desde el viernes 23 de abril se podrá visualizar la ceremonia completa en las plataformas de AMC y de IFC.
En cuanto a los ganadores, la aclamada por la crítica Nomadland, fue la gran ganadora de la noche, llevándose a casa los galardones a Mejor Película, Director, Edición y Fotografía.
Promising Young Woman se llevó a casa el premio a Mejor Guion, su protagonista Carey Mulligan alzó el galardón a Mejor Actriz, y Riz Ahmed el de Mejor Actor.
DATO CURIOSO: Este año se rompió con la tradición de realizar la ceremonia el día sábado en la antesala del Premio Óscar. El Premio de la Academia se dará cita el domingo 25 de abril.
Por el rubro televisivo, Unorthodox (Netflix) y I May Destroy You (HBO) conquistaron la gala.
